Salary: Net £1250.00 + £200.00 contract completion bonus per month, plus free live-in board and lodging.
Stocks Hotel on the Island of Sark are now recruiting for an experienced Housekeeping Assistant to join us for the 2025 summer season; from April to October.
Stocks is a family owned, luxury farmhouse hotel located in the centre of the small island of Sark in the British Channel Islands.
Our free en-suite staff lodge accommodation includes central heating, satellite TV and WiFi.
The housekeeping team is responsible for the hotel’s 23 bedrooms including 16 superior rooms, 2 family rooms and 5 suites. Housekeeping also look after the hotel communal areas, laundry department, and the purpose-built staff lodge, which counts 20 bedrooms and a communal kitchen/living area.
The housekeeping assistant needs to be personable, hard-working, and punctual. Good personal grooming and cleanliness are also essential.
Our housekeeping assistant should have ideally worked in a similar establishment in the past. They should also be able to work in an efficient, calm, and organised manner. Our housekeeping assistant will work closely with the housekeeping manager and communicate with reception.
This position is a live-in position with accommodation and meals included.
Requirements
- Ideally with previous experience or training in a similar high quality luxury hotel environment.
- Must be fit, as this is a physically demanding position.
- Must be a neat, tidy, organised, efficient and methodical worker.
- Must be honest and trustworthy.
- Must speak and understand English.
