We are looking for a passionate climber to join our team as Duty Manager.
We have been the market leader in delivering a fun, inclusive, and rewarding indoor climbing experience since the opening of our first centre in the amazing St Benedict’s Church, Manchester, in 2005. We offer climbing for everyone, building a passionate community that inspires and grows the next generation of climbers. Climbing is one of the fastest growing lifestyle sports in the UK and Europe and our new centre will give people of the area the ability to embrace the climbing experience, community, and lifestyle that we love.
With our centre in Southampton, we encompass all types of climbing: bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing and speed climbing, with many auto-belays. Built by Entre-Prises, the wall is state of the art and includes a carbon copy of the Olympic bouldering wall and speed wall from the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. During their time in the centre, our customers, young and old, novice to experienced, can also enjoy delicious, locally sourced food and drinks from our café, train in our fitness room and purchase climbing clothing and equipment from our shop.
Our Duty Managers are responsible for the day to day running of the centre, mentoring the instructor and reception team to create an atmosphere where customers can have fun, try climbing for the first time, and improve their fitness in an inclusive environment, underpinned by the highest standards of safety, customer service and positive team engagement.
As well as being responsible for the day to day running of the centre, each Duty Manager will have their own areas of responsibility to manage and develop with the support of the site and company Management team.
