My work experience, combined with a BSc (Hons) in Shipping and Port Management, has provided me with a diverse skill set applicable to offshore vessel operations, shipping, logistics, and marine surveys. Holding dual nationality (British-Jordanian), I am fully willing to travel and relocate as required.
As a Deck Officer, I have managed navigation and watchkeeping operations, overseeing Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems and traditional navigation methods to ensure precise vessel movements and safe passage. I am also well-versed in safety and compliance, adhering to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining firefighting and life-saving equipment. My leadership and communication skills have allowed me to effectively manage crew activities, coordinate operations, and ensure smooth collaboration with all stakeholders. Furthermore, I am highly experienced in emergency response procedures, incident investigations, and equipment maintenance to ensure vessel readiness at all times.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge of offshore vessel operations, marine surveys, and shipping procedures. My previous roles involved working on behalf of organizations such as Bureau Veritas, ship and cargo owners, cargo receivers, and clients in various marine projects. I have experience conducting ship inspections, supervision of bulk commodities, and containerized cargo operations, including tally and weight control. Additionally, I have a strong understanding of technical inspections, coordination with appointed personnel, quality control, and sampling of bulk commodities such as coal, urea, and ore. My responsibilities also included hatch and container inspections, testing, and calibration of survey equipment, as well as monitoring third-party contractor performance at both sea and port terminals while ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations.
