Skills
I bring a wide range of skills that make me well suited to a ski season role. I have strong hospitality and customer service experience from working in busy bars and restaurants, where I developed confidence in greeting and serving guests, handling pressure during peak times, and maintaining a friendly, professional attitude. My role at Avalon Beach Bungalow also gave me hands-on experience in high-standard cleaning and quick turnarounds, which would transfer well to chalet or housekeeping duties. I’m highly organised, reliable, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. I’ve often been trusted with solo shifts and responsibilities such as stock management and opening or closing duties, which shows my ability to take initiative. I’m also a strong communicator, always proactive, and have a positive, can-do attitude that helps create a welcoming atmosphere—something I’d aim to bring to any resort team.
About
My name is Kizzy Foster, and I’m a final-year English Literature student at Oxford Brookes University with a strong background in hospitality, housekeeping, and customer-facing roles. I’m reliable, enthusiastic, and a fast learner with a passion for providing excellent guest experiences—qualities I believe are well suited to a ski season role. I’ve spent the past few years working in busy hospitality environments, including The Cage Wine Bar and The Rambler’s Rest, where I developed strong communication skills, worked efficiently under pressure, and regularly handled both team-based and solo responsibilities such as stock management, service, and shift leadership.
Alongside this, I worked for several years at Avalon Beach Bungalow in Eastbourne, where I was responsible for high-standard cleaning and preparing bespoke welcome packs for guests. This role required meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management to ensure customer changeovers ran smoothly, especially during the height of the pandemic. I’ve also completed an internship with Overbury on Oxford Street, giving me valuable experience in a professional setting where I supported team goals through communication and organisation.
I hold a Level 3 First Aid qualification and have completed Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards, demonstrating my independence, teamwork, and willingness to take on new challenges. I’m friendly, proactive, and always ready to get stuck in—whether that’s cleaning chalets, supporting a busy kitchen, or helping guests feel at home.
