The Hydraulic Manager is responsible for all the maintenance aspects of the resorts hydraulic system (cold water, chill water, hot water, fire system, raw water and Sewage) and swimming pools to ensure that all the physical and technical installations are
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.
· Plan and implement a preventive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment associated with water, sewage and swimming pools as prescribed by manufacturers and/or as required to maintain the standards of the resort’s operation.
· Undertake corrective maintenance on all machinery and equipment associated with water, sewage and swimming pools as required to ensure guests satisfaction.
· Ensure uninterrupted supply of water for consumption and firefighting and proper sewage treatment in the entire resort premises.
· Plan and supervise execution of day-to-day repairs and upkeeping of installations, machinery and equipment related to water/sewage and swimming pools of the Resort.
· Ensure prompt and efficient customer service at all times by adopting a proactive approach and through adequate supervision.
· Design, implement and constantly improve Standard Operating Procedures related to his/her sections so as to ensure consistency in the delivery of excellent service.
· Follow-up on correct execution of works entrusted to subcontractors, direct reports and on development projects.
· Ensure that the maintenance department premises (plant, machinery, workshops) and surroundings are kept always in a perfect state of tidiness.
· Perform maintenance of fire hydrant system, chill water network when requested
· Strictly observe all environmental statutory requirements and promote environmentally friendly policies and practices.
· Keep and organized files of all documents related to the characteristics of operating system, installation, equipment or machinery. Log all information relative to energy consumption, preventive maintenance actions and repairs on all essential equipment (water and sewage pumps, firefighting equipment and the like).
· Organize, deploy and supervise staff under his direct supervision.
· Through proper communication, ensure that staff members have all the information they require in order to provide excellent service at all times.
· Ensure that the hydraulic section of the maintenance department have the appropriate staffing levels for efficient operations while achieving set employee productivity targets.
· Constantly, monitor staff morale to ensure that the personnel are kept motivated and committed to the objectives of the organization at all times.
· Ensure that the direct reports receive appropriate and adequate training, supervision and assistance in order to achieve the desirable level of performance in the all their tasks.
· Regularly appraise his subordinates in order to give them feedback of essential information to enable them to constantly improve their performance.
· Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met as well as the maintenance of safe work practices and observance of safety rules and precautions.
· Continually monitor and analyze water storage, consumption and analysis results to ensure water produced or received from local utility company are to the required standards and effluent discharged are within the established discharged limits.
· Monitor and control expenses in order to remain within established budgets for his sections.
· Report on the administration and operation of the Hydraulic Section on a regular basis as per established policies.
· Monitor the stock level of spares and consumables using the Prolific system, seek quotations and make the necessary PR for materials important to the operation of the resort.
· Ensure proper use of chemicals and provide relevant training to his subordinates and passes on his professional knowledge.
· Assists the department manager in the planning and installation of new equipment, systems and/or facilities.
· To take in charge of the Preventive Maintenance Section in the absence of the Preventive Maintenance Manager
· To look after the HVAC section in the absence of the HVAC Manager
· Takes full responsibility of the flooding emergency with the team in case of flooding during heavy rain.
· Take the full responsibility of all drainage systems
· In case of fire or any other emergency, the Chief Hydraulic should be present with the team to assist the Emergency Team.
