Cost Controller DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include but not be limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, directions may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.
· Must be familiar with accounts, internal control and cost control procedures.
· Apply and ensure the application of standards and procedures set by the hotel accounts policy.
· Apply and ensure application of procedures and regulations concerning cost control
· Make sure that all material and equipment made available to the accounts department is correctly used.
· According to assistant financial controller instructions, implement the appropriate means to ensure the cost control is done correctly.
· Make some suggestions to the Assistant financial controller, which will improve the work of the cost control.
· Monitors costs, compare them to the budget and take note of variances
· Establish and maintain effective employee Relation
· Determine and analyses causes and sources of variances
· Initiate any other appropriate responsibility that may be assigned by the Management
· Ensure all purchase requisition are received from purchase Manager
· Agree all prices on supplier invoices to purchase requisition or the master price list from accounts department
· Ensure each supplier invoice has a purchase order number and a receiving document number
· Return all invoices to purchase manager, when the quoted price does not agree to the suppliers invoice.
· Ensure proper filing is done of all cost control documents.
· Spot check
· Daily report (complimentary, void, discount, open items)
· Monitor and control notes (Captain order, gate pass, PR, PO, etc...)
· Performs related duties and special projects assigned.
Key Requirements ·
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management or cost controlling
·
Professional Certifications: Having an Accounting certification like CPA, CMA, or ACCA (preferred)
