Join Our Team as a Route Setting Cleaner!
With our newest centre in Wandsworth open in July 2023, we encompass all types of climbing: bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing, and auto-belays. Built by Entre-Prises, the wall is state-of-the-art and includes a carbon copy of the Olympic bouldering wall from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. During their time in the centre, our customers, from novices to experienced climbers, can also enjoy delicious locally sourced food and drinks from our café, train in our fitness room, and explore our retail offering. This encourages everyone to get involved and experience the joy and freedom of climbing.
The main duties of the Route Setting Cleaner:
- Working closely with the Route Setting Manager and route setting team
- Washing and maintaining climbing holds to ensure quality and cleanliness
- Organizing and maintaining the route setting cupboard on a weekly basis
- Following specific training to assist in stripping climbing walls
- Supporting the route setting team to ensure smooth operations
- Support the setting team with events where necessary
What we are looking for in our Route Setting Cleaner:
- Hardworking, proactive, and detail-oriented individuals
- A passion and/or interest in climbing and climbing gyms
- Willingness to learn & develop within the role
- Regular weekday morning availability is essential
- Knowledge of Griptonite and RockGymPro beneficial
- Rope climbing competency beneficial
- Reasonable physical fitness, able to lift and maneuver loads of 15-20kg
- Aged 18+
