JOB DESCRIPTION Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for task outside the scope of work described.
- To buy materials of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right price, at the right time, and from the right source with delivery at the right price.
- To ensure that all jobs assigned are properly handled according to Hotel Standard Operation Procedures and Superior requirements.
- To maintain purchasing data.
- To maintain the adequate quality of material purchased.
- To work closely with the Purchasing staff to ensure that all items required are made promptly and efficiently.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Qualification: - Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.
Experience: - A minimum of 1 year of experience in hotel industry.
- Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.
- Experience working in remote island locations is a plus.
Technical skills: - Great computer skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Good math skills.
- Fluency in English and French, written and verbal communication.
