Job Overview:
The Laundry Supervisor will oversee all aspects of laundry operations within the hotel, ensuring that linens, uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, sorted, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership, organization skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel laundry department.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all laundry equipment and machinery.
- Monitor laundry production and ensure timely delivery of guest and hotel laundry items.
- Develop and implement effective laundry processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the laundry area, including maintaining cleanliness standards and a safe working environment.
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and order new stock as needed.
- Train, motivate, and manage a team of laundry staff to ensure high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
- Conduct regular quality checks on cleaned linens, uniforms, and guest laundry to ensure they meet hotel standards.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to laundry services in a professional and timely manner.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
