We are recruiting a Resort Manager for the winter 2024/2025 ski season in Morzine.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, experience of managing staff and preferably of ski seasons in the hospitality sector.
The role will start in November and finish at the end of April. There is also potential for work in the Summer season and develop your role in to a year round position.
General Description:
Your role will be to oversee the general day to day running of the 5 chalets.
- To assist the management team in the training and supervision of staff to ensure a high standard of food, service and cleanliness is delivered in each of the chalets.
- To perform daily checks in the chalets to ensure staff are at work on time, chalet cleanliness including hot tub checks and customer service.
- To perform quality control checks on the standard of food being delivered. To ensure high quality of food being served in each chalet.
- To provide cover for staff absences in the chalets.
- Liaising with guests to identify and solve any problems which may arise.
- Liaising with staff to be proactive so all chalets run smoothly.
- To pick up, distribute and collect money for lift passes.
- To oversee morning and afternoon shuttles and assist as necessary.
- Manage restaurant reservations for night off
- Manage the Salomon Snowboards test centre – servicing of boards, delivery and fitment of boards.
- Manage sales of Riders Refuge merchandise.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance at chalets where required.
- Oversee, check and mange stock levels in chalets and ensure the correct orders are being placed for hot tub supplies, bread, wine, meat etc...
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests in resort working with the Riders Refuge team, the promotion of resort events and services in order to generate income for the company.
- Any other task as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the company and to provide the best possible client experience.
Morzine is one of the largest ski areas in Europe and there is a great variety of skiing and snowboarding for all abilities. Aside from the skiing there are loads of activities in the area with a large swimming pool and indoor waterpark in Avoriaz.
