Job Description The laundry supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operations within the laundry department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and timeliness in the care of guest and staff garments, linens, and other textiles. The role requires effective team management, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies to support exceptional guest experiences.
- Supervise daily operations of the laundry department, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of laundry items.
- Develop and implement schedules for the timely processing of guest and staff laundry, as well as hotel linens.
- Ensure proper handling and care of all textiles, preventing damage and maintaining quality.
- Train, guide, and manage laundry team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance-related issues.
- Foster a positive and cooperative working environment within the department.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the relevant department and ensure timely repairs.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for laundry equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
- Ensure all laundry processes comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Promote proper use of chemicals and cleaning agents, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization within the laundry facility.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of guest laundry and linen services.
- Address guest concerns or special requests regarding laundry services professionally and promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of laundry operations, including service logs, costs, and usage reports.

Qualifications - At least 3-5 years of experience in a laundry operation, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning products.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting laundry bags.
