Job Description Villa Nautica is seeking a skilled and passionate
Roaster Master to oversee the production of exceptional coffee. The ideal candidate will have expertise in coffee roasting, inventory management, and roastery operations, as well as a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role requires hands-on involvement in the roasting process, order management, and maintenance of the roastery. As a key part of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency in our coffee production.
- Execute precise roasting techniques to achieve consistent and high-quality flavor profiles.
- Assist with packaging roasted coffee to ensure freshness and quality.
- Place and receive product orders, ensuring timely stock replenishment.
- Organise and maintain green bean stock and other materials, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Utilise Cropster software for roasting schedules, order tracking, and operational management.
- Keep the roastery clean, organised, and efficient to ensure smooth operations.
- Clean, maintain, and protect all roasting and packaging equipment to maximise longevity and performance.
- Collaborate on the development of custom blends and seasonal offerings.
- Educate team members on coffee preparation techniques, tasting notes, and equipment usage.
Qualifications - At least 2 years of experience in coffee roasting or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with commercial roasting equipment.
- Familiarity with Cropster software or similar tools for roasting and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, profiles, and bean characteristics.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock, schedules, and workspace.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Passion for coffee and dedication to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
