We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Director to lead our entire sports areas and activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record in managing and enhancing sports facilities and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate and supervise the operations for Fitness, Cycle Center, Golf, Sportsbooking and Sportshop ensuring proper allocation of resources
- Create and implement a comprehensive sports strategy offering a diverse range of activities for guests of all ages and skill levels, including the planning and delivery of sports programs
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and impact of sports programs
- Drive initiatives such as tournaments and competitions that enhance our brand image and engagement
- Monitor and manage sports budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality or guest satisfaction
- Develop strategies to increase onsite bookings in sports and maximize revenue
- Lead projects to improve sports spaces, propose investments, and upgrade facilities for a better guest and staff experience
- Build and maintain strong connections with sports organizations, schools, Apollo, and governing bodies to enhance collaboration and community involvement
- Establish a system for regular performance checks and maintenance of sports facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, while implementing safety protocols to protect guests and staff
- Oversee the recruitment, coordination, and legal compliance of guest instructors
- Coordinate with other teams, such as F&B and marketing, to ensure availability of resources and seamless logistics for sports Events
- Direct and mentor a team of sports instructors, coaches, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of sports instructors, coaches, and support staff while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Attend and represent the resort at sporting events, conferences, and community activities
