Since 2011, we have grown from one chalet to a portfolio of 12, offering a blend of catered and self-catered chalets. Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Kitchen Assistant who shares our love for great food and high standards. In this role, you will oversee the smooth operation of the kitchen, working closely with our chefs to ensure the highest quality of food and service is delivered to our chalets. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, managing stock, and assisting with food preparation, as well as taking on managerial responsibilities to ensure efficiency in the kitchen.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for food, exceptional attention to detail, some cooking experience, and a desire to further develop their skills in a professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Management Duties:
- Manage the kitchen’s daily operations alongside the two production chefs.
- Collaborate with chefs to ensure menus are executed to AliKats’ high standards.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring supplies are ordered on time and that stock is rotated correctly.
- Manage food safety procedures, ensuring all staff comply with hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and organize repairs when necessary.
- Lead a team-oriented environment, encouraging collaboration and maintaining morale.
Other duties:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the central kitchen, ensuring it meets the highest hygiene standards.
- Clean and organize kitchen equipment, ensuring it is ready for daily operations.
- Wash up and clean down the kitchen during and after service.
- Assist with stock rotation, food orders, and shopping to keep the kitchen well supplied.
- Pack and portion food accurately for chalet deliveries, taking into account guest dietary requirements and fluctuating guest numbers.
- Support the chefs with food preparation tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience:

Passion for food and cooking, with some professional kitchen experience.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail, especially in food prep and portioning.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work hard in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- A minimum age of 21, required by our vehicle insurance.

Full manual driving license valid for driving in Europe.
- A passion for skiing/snowboarding or a love for the mountains is a plus.

Basic French is desirable but not essential.
